We have over 100 clients from the commercial, charity and membership sectors. They range from blue-chip companies with multi-million pound print spends, to small charities with tight budgets.

Who: Major UK Charity

The challenge:

Our initial requirement was to supply warehouse fulfilment services in support of the client store retail, mail order and ecommerce trading business.

The charity operates with circa 400 retails shops across the UK, has a successful direct to consumer mail order and ecommerce business, which sells cards and gifts to consumers.

Following two successful years, the scope of the contract grew to include contact center and fulfilment service for the charities fundraising, marketing, first aid, training and independent living businesses. Print management quickly followed linking Mosaic’s warehousing system with the print management platform and in turn the charity’s central purchasing platform.


What did Mosaic do to tackle the clients challenge?

Initially, Mosaic was able to streamline existing process and interface with the charity’s EPOS system.

Both trade and consumer stock files were aligned and production streamlined. The organisation gained immediate benefits in stock control, stock accuracy, order turn around and management information.

The operational efficiencies immediately returned commercial savings and the advance MI and analytics coupled with customer service enhancements ensured growth in a very competitive market.

As the scope of the requirement grew and developed intelligent stock forecasting was linked into print procurement software and the charities central procurement platform. This solution enabled Mosaic to procure print just in time based on usage, informing product owners in the charity that purchase order for items required authorization. The benefits across the board include:

Was technology used to help you provide the client with a solution?

Mosaic employed its central ERP system to support the contracts warehousing and fulfilment requirements and its print management platform to manage and control all print procurement activity.

Interfaces into the charities central procurement platform were developed to support the contract.

What was the outcome?

Significant operational and commercial gains were achieved. The charity has now entered into a new four year agreement for both warehousing, fulfilment and print management services.

Who: Old Mutual

The challenge:

Our task was to introduce a new, advanced management information system together with full training for Old Mutual employees.

What did Mosaic do to tackle the clients challenge?

We installed the Complis Management Information System, providing Old Mutual with instant reports on every facet of their business together with regular updates on stock, usage, movement and historical cost information. Not only does the system enable the flow of quote requests, purchase orders and artwork transferral, the stock is booked into our warehouse using the delivery interface and the levels automatically updated.

Is the system fine-tuned to Old Mutual’s own requirements?

Yes, and enhancements are quickly made by our dedicated team of specialists. In particular, the DAM system holds every item of literature, PDF and web page, which is vital for version control within such a large organisation. The customer call-off facility is fast and easy to use, and updates have been made to enable customers to create their own favourites. This ensures a quick and smooth ordering experience.
